At our Celebration Evening:
Garden Awards for 2016 were announced – details >>. The John Daws Trophy was awarded to Stuart Hamer, Chairman of the Portishead Lights Committee, with a cheque for £100 which was provided by Portishead in Bloom. The John Daws Trophy is awarded by PiB for outstanding voluntary work in the Community – photo >>. The Barry Cruse cup for best website in the South West was presented to Paul Gregory. There was a beautifully decorated special cake – photo >>
14 October 2016:
We have won GOLD in the Britain in Bloom national competition and Ken Windibank was one of 12 recipients who won a Champions Award for the whole of the United Kingdom!

The raffle prize on our stand at the Portishead Flower Show on 30/31 July was an ironwork bowl donated by Willa Ashworth. It was won by Catherine Peprell.
