At the recent South West in Bloom Presentation Portishead in Bloom were very successful. We got a Gold award, our 13th! We also won our group and were awarded the St Bridget Cup. Vice Chair, Jane Pagano said ‘There was a lot of stiff competition so we were very surprised to win! A wonderful result for all the hard work over the last two years. These awards do not happen without a lot of effort and commitment by many people. Portishead in Bloom is very grateful to all the many people who help us in so many ways. These are your awards!!’
High Down School were awarded the Viridor Cup for the best school composting initiative.
In the South West in Bloom Art Competition, Florrie, age 8, won the 7-11 age group.
May 2021:
With great sadness it is announced that Sandy Tebbutt passed away on 9 May. Sandy, former chair of PiB for eight years, led the group to gold awards both regionally and nationally and had lots of ideas and initiatives which helped us to achieve such high standards. She will be sadly missed by so many people in Portishead.

RHS National Judging will not take place physically in 2021, but instead RHS Community Awards will be made, and Portishead in Bloom is delighted to be one of only 5 towns in the South West chosen to take part.
January 2021:
Portishead in Bloom is delighted to announce that the Potager has been secured by the Town Council as an Asset of Community Value.
